Jake Worcester is an energetic and compelling facilitator, consultant and speaker. From helping senior level leaders develop systems and processes to work efficiently and take control of their lives to facilitating leadership development programs for all levels of management, Jake’s efforts have centered on strategic thinking, hands-on leadership skill development, and total organizational transformation in the agricultural and manufacturing industries.

Jake grew up on his family’s farm in Northwest Kansas and, after graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics, pursued opportunities that would give him experience in multiple industries. After time in government and high-tech consulting, Jake held positions focusing on leadership development within the non-profit sector including time as the first full-time Executive Director of the Kansas FFA Foundation and Director of Development for the K-State School of Leadership Studies before becoming an integral part of Peak Solutions USA, a global leadership development consulting firm. Jake is excited about the opportunity to work with Farm Journal’s Top Producer Executive Network™ as a facilitator and to be part of a growing, and integrated peer-to-peer advisory network.

TPEN Reflection: Solutions

As your business grows, you begin to hit a "ceiling of complexity" where the way you’ve done it before needs to change if you are to continue your forward progress. Tillage practices, planting or harvest strategies, equipment changes, accounting, banking, risk management, human resources and family relationships are just a few areas in which you’ll experience growing pains. The peer group experience shows you that others have solved some of the problems you face, and that you have in fact solved other producers’ problems.

Take Action

Identify the three biggest challenges you face, write them down, discuss them in your business and come prepared to share them at your next peer group meeting.

On behalf of the TPEN facilitation team,
