Sarah Beth Aubrey, owner of Prosperity Ag and Energy Resources, a division of Prosperity Consulting (Prosperity), aids farmers, ag entrepreneurs, communities, trade associations and agricultural cooperatives in obtaining funds through the use of governments or foundation programs in the areas of agriculture, energy, environment and food manufacturing. With over eight years of experience networking with federal and state agencies, Ms. Aubrey fosters all areas of project development for her clients and is technically savvy in understanding complex energy, food and infrastructure issues. Her core business services also include qualitative market research, feasibility studies and strategic planning and meeting facilitation.
Ms. Aubrey began her experience in strategic consulting work in 1999 while a Regional Manager with agricultural and food consulting company, Adayana, Inc. (formerly Agri Business Group). Following a career there and in the financial services industry, she started her own consulting firm in 2004 as well as a beef and pork company selling to local restaurants, retailers and wholesalers. The business was sold in 2008 to accommodate the burgeoning role in consulting and grant writing with a special emphasis in the agricultural and food markets. Today, Ms. Aubrey is acknowledged as an expert in business planning and feasibility study assessment for agricultural concerns, grant preparation, training and board facilitation. Recent clients include: Purdue University, Ball State University, the State of Indiana (Department of Agriculture), Indiana FFA, the American Hereford Association, Region 2000 in Virginia, Brock Grain Handling, United States Department of Agriculture, more than 50 Midwestern-based rural electric utilities, and most importantly nearly 800 individual farmers in 38 states.
Always interested in gaining broader perspectives, she is actively involved in various leadership organizations and is a 2011 alumna of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series, a member of the National Speakers Association, and the owner of a Certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE) company. She was recently named to Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list of young professionals to watch. On a quarterly basis, Ms. Aubrey facilitates discussion among a personally selected board of advisors who volunteer their time sharing expertise in agriculture, energy and environment. A 2010 graduate of the prestigious Indiana Agricultural Leadership, she now volunteers on the Curriculum Development Committee and coordinates alumni networking events. She is also the author of three nonfiction books with over 50,000 copies sold worldwide. Her third book, Find Grant Funding Now!, was released December 31, 2013 by Wiley Publishing.
Sarah Beth and her husband, Cary, live in central Indiana and raise 30 purebred beef cows that they market through major livestock shows and during two sales each year-one solely online in February and a fall production sale each September.
